The Department of Business Administration
The Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Program prepares the students for executive
career in Business and other organizations. The Degree helps the graduates to develop the
potential for high earnings, increased responsibility and greater personal development. The
Program assists the students in understanding and developing the unique leadership qualities
required for successfully managing business functions, an organizational unit or an enterprise

BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)

The BBA Department at Govt. College Una started functioning in 2008-2009. BBA program provides a strong foundation in core business disciplines helping participants acquire the key competencies needed by all business management students at an undergraduate level in a diverse field.

The uniqueness of BBA Program at Govt. College Una is in the context, scope of syllabi, teaching
methodology and evaluation. Bachelor of Business administration (BBA) is a 3-year Undergraduate Program in Business management. BBA is one of the most sought bachelor degree program after (10+2). It provides completes knowledge of leadership and management.
BBA degree allows the candidates to enter in the field of management. This degree course allows students to be specialized in one of the multiple specialization areas such as International business, Finance, Computer information systems, Marketing or Accounting. The course of BBA also gives a platform for pursuing course like MBA. It helps in providing entry/mid level positions in many corporations and factories.

Eligibility Conditions:-
The plus Two examination in any stream under 10+2 system of any Board established by law in
India with at least 45% marks for General Category and 40% marks in case of SC/ST category

Total No. of Seats= 90+1(Single Girl Child)+09 (10% seats reserved for Gen EWS)
Infrastructure 

Classrooms :-
Our Classrooms are spacious, well ventilated and provide opportunities for a quality education for our students Classrooms are neat and clean, well furnished, equipped with smart boards and digital projector with WI-FI facility .

Computer Lab
Department has computer lab with high speed leased line internet connection with powerful servers. Students are encouraged to maximize their learning and computer skills by constant use of internet for research, making notes and presentations.

Library:-
The library is a central learning resources centre. The well equipped library is housed in a separate‘Library Block ‘with internet connectivity and a wide collection of text books, references books etc. The students are allowed to borrow books from the library. A number of references books help the students to increase their knowledge base.

Activities:-

• Diverse activities are organized in BBA Department from time to time for the overall growth of students.
•  The pedagogy adopts various techniques such as group discussions brainstorming sessions, management games, transaction analysis and tackling conflicting situations.
• Teaching methodologies include classrooms lectures, industrial visits, case studies,corporate orientation and assignments.
• A guest lecture was organized in Dr Rajan Bhandari, DAV College Chandigarh delivereda motivational lecture to motivate the students to focus on their goals.
• Mr. Sushil Malhotra, CEO of Grammy Electronics Mehatpur delivered lecture on Entrepreneurship: Its importance in the changing business environment.
• A guest lecture delivered by Dr. B.S.Rana Govt. College Una on the topic of ‘ Consumer Protection Act 2020’
• A personality development session was organized in BBA where aspirants were given
  tips by Dr. Shakti Raj from LPU Jalandhar to develop their personalities.
• One day industrial tour to Verka Milk Plant, Mohalli (Pb) was organized where the students acquired knowledge about the functioning and management of industry.
• Educational Tours to Kullu and Manali were organized by the department. The students visited many famous and historical places.

Achievements:-

• The department is achieving new heights day by day. Students are excelling academically as well as in other extra curricular activities.
• Rishabh Sharma a student of BBA-V sem got 1st prize in Photography competition held in HPU Youth Festival and he also participated in the 36th inter University North Zone festival held at Jammu University.
•  Sujata student of BBA-VI sem got 1st prize in Shot put and discus throw. She also won bronze medal in the javelin throw
• Harshdeep student of BBA-VI sem got 3rd prize in the javelin throw in the 52th Annual Atheletic Meet.
• Suraj Singh Saini student of BBA-II sem got 2nd prize in Poster Making competition on Drug Abuse held in College Campus.

Placements:-

• No aspect of finding a job is easy, but the young aspirants of BBA after completing their degree are getting opportunities in many organizations.
• Many students after completing BBA are pursuing MBA from reputed Universities and Colleges.
• Some students after BBA got placements in reputed corporate companies.
• Tarun Thakur an ex student of BBA is working as Territory Manager in Hasele India Pvt. Ltd. Chandigarh .
• Gurpreet Singh also ex student of BBA is working as senior HR Executive at TVS Motor Company Nalagarh.
• Aatish Shukla works at KPMG.
•  Our student Sukanya got campus placement in a Chandigarh based company.
•  Neha Sharma is working as HR Manager at ‘Vardhman Textiles’ Ludhiana.
•  Shikha Sharma is working as Office Administrator at AIFP Consultancy (MNC) Una branch
